Would like a knowledgeable person to explain to me how Haram is used and defined in dealing with sexual issues, bi/ gay and the fluid genders.

Also is it ok to be a Transsexual in a muslin _iew, Sunni/Shia.

Cannot seem to find anyone willing to enlighten me, have read online muslin chat boards but they are quite negitive about this I find, looking for a positive spin on the definition of the word and it's social implications.

Seriously.

OK serious answer no abrhamic religion sports homosexuality.

Transgender/genderfluid/buzzword of the week/etc didn't exist back then so obviously they do not have any reference to it whatsoever

So yeah of you want serious advice you'll have to pop to your local mosque and ask the scholar if there's any relevant fatwas.

I'm not quite sure I follow either OP.

Isn't 'Haram' simply analogous to the christian 'sin'?

You are post-op, so aren't you simply a straight woman now?

Asking "what is the muslim _iew" is a bit like asking "what is the Catholic _iew on, eg contraception". The fact is that the Pope's _iew differs from the practical _iew of most practising Catholics, as will be the case with muslims.

If you are asking "am I safe?", I'd have thought you were just as, if not more, likely to find trouble from an uneducated white 'christian' type.

Education is the issue, not the religion, imho

It's not a personal attack, but you're clearly overly sensitive. I posted as you have raised concerns about your safety and now are worried about potential problems that haven't even occurred. To me, that's not a great quality of life and thought it's something you should try to deal with.

According to the scholar and hadith collector An-Nawawi:

A mukhannath is the one ("male") who carries in his movements, in his appearance and in his language the characteristics of a woman. There are two types; the first is the one in whom these characteristics are innate, he did not put them on by himself, and therein is no guilt, no blame and no shame, as long as he does not perform any (illicit) act or exploit it for money (prostitution etc.). The second type acts like a woman out of immoral purposes and he is the sinner and blameworthy.[3]....

.....

,,,,

In the current era, scholars in Iran and Egypt have issued fatwas supporting the right for those who fit the description of Mukhannathun to have sex reassignment surgery.[citation needed] In Pakistan to this day, there live hijras. The Muslim Hijras have been known to refer to themselves as Mukhannathun when speaking Arabic.

No it is not an issue in the UK at all.

No bill amendment or any official price of legislation has ever a tempted to impliment sharia law.

Nor has any member of parliament even suggest such a legislation.

So yes I feel utterly confident in saying that we will not have sharia law in this country.

To put it in perspective the UK Muslim population is about 4.5% slightly less than the estimated gay population percentage

So there's about as much chance of sharia law as the gays banning people being straight

Also saying something does not make it true.

If you believe the shit you read in the papers, especially papers written with a clear ulterior motive without questioning it then you will be likely to succumb to this sort of bullshit.

So Sharia law is not a issue in the UK then, you Mr do not speak for the population of the UK.

It is in use in UK now so just stop your mistrustful ways.

Islamic law is adopted by British legal chefs. Daily telegraph."

Haha you're talking about arbitration.

It's not law.

Stop your lying ways.

Let's face it you picked today after the recent events to post this stupid topic hoping to drag up a bunch of anti Islamic sentiment.

It's not gone that way because most people aren't hateful bigots.

Now you're throwing your toys out the pram accusing people of being psychopaths for telling you to go speak to an Islamic scholar and now you're attempting to misrepresent that we have sharia law in the UK.

Have some respect for the recent events and leave your hate for another day

At least as a trans over there you don't need to worry about facial electrolysis or shaving anywhere really as the burka covers it up

"I don't believe it is considered Haram but Iran takes a different _iew on trans people.

Iran forces gay men to have sex changes or hang..

Gay men do not want to be female and become Street prostitutes

You don't live in Iran.

Or any Muslim country

Or a country with any chance what's ever of ever implimenting laws based on Islam.

So this seems rather ridiculous.

So Sharia law is not a issue in the UK then, you Mr do not speak for the population of the UK. "

but why do you think you will come under sharia law? You live in the UK I've spent much of the last 5 years in the middle east and there is lots of prostitution including call boys didn't see them having any problems when muslims come to the UK they come under UK law just like anyone else

The only fear should be the usual ones woman might have.

Unless you intned to go up to people and tell them just for the lols?

"Would like a knowledgeable person to explain to me how Haram is used and defined in dealing with sexual issues, bi/ gay and the fluid genders.

Also is it ok to be a Transsexual in a muslin _iew, Sunni/Shia.

Cannot seem to find anyone willing to enlighten me, have read online muslin chat boards but they are quite negitive about this I find, looking for a positive spin on the definition of the word and it's social implications.

perhaps ask an Imam rather than a bunch of google informed strangers on an internet swinging/sex site?

I can post what I like...yes "

i said otherwise...no

was merely suggesting a sure fire way of getting the correct answer to your question. i'd wager that there are not that many of us on here who know Shia or Sunni law well enough to put your mind at rest regarding this issue.

How will these Muslim people know you have had a sex change?

If you are attacked in the UK for any reason the law is on your side, regardless of your gender or attire.

If you feel you are in an unsafe area, don't go out alone. I wouldn't. I don't know what it's like in your area or why you don't feel safe so it's difficult to comment.

Sharia Law is only used by Muslim courts between themselves. You don't have to abide by it. Muslims have to abide by our laws.

It's not the middle ages speak English.

Also you just blatantly and knowingly lied saying sharia law was part of UK law .

You've got some wrid chip on your shoulder about Muslims and your usual persecution complex where you're desperate for the attention of being a victim if it helps you I know Muslim trans people one has even come out to her family and the community there was some tension but no violence or harm.

So if you really want to know go discuss this with your local Islamic scholar

You have not been 'attacked', your opinion has been challenged and as said by others your answer is to get personal and now play the victim which you are not..

You can have all sorts of rules for arbitration ( which is voluntary )

I imagine it won't belong till we have a codified jedi system for arbitration given they're the fastest growing religion I'm the country

I really don't think people care that much either.

Folks of all backgrounds do get rather tired and bored of people who have a particular gender drum to bang when they go on and on and on about a topic which really is quite dull and not anyone's business unless someone makes it so.
