I've a spilt in the heel of one of my wellies, and I'm getting a soggy sock

Any ideas on how to repair it ?

How else am I supposed to catch my sheep

Hereabouts

There's a hole in my welly, dear Liza, dear Liza,

There's a hole in my welly, dear Liza, a hole.

Then mend it, dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,

Oh mend it, dear Henry, dear Henry, mend it.

With what shall I mend it, dear Liza, dear Liza?

With what shall I mend it, dear Liza, with what?

Try straw, dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,

With straw, dear Henry, dear Henry, with straw.

But the straw is too long, dear Liza, dear Liza,

The straw is too long, dear Liza, too long.

Cut it, dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,

Then cut it, dear Henry, dear Henry, cut it.

With what shall I cut it, dear Liza, dear Liza?

With what shall I cut it, dear Liza, with what?

With an ax, dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,

With an ax, dear Henry, dear Henry, an ax.

The ax is too dull, dear Liza, dear Liza,

The ax is too dull, dear Liza, too dull.

Sharpen it, dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,

Oh sharpen it, dear Henry, dear Henry, hone it.

With what shall I sharpen it, dear Liza, dear Liza?

With what shall I sharpen it, dear Liza, with what?

With a stone, dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,

With a stone, dear Henry, dear Henry, a stone.

The stone is too dry, dear Liza, dear Liza,

The stone is too dry, dear Liza, too dry.

Then wet it, dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,

Then wet it, dear Henry, dear Henry, wet it.

With what shall I wet it, dear Liza, dear Liza?

With what shall I wet it, dear Liza, with what?

With water, dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,

With water, dear Henry, dear Henry, use water.

The water is over there, dear Liza, dear Liza?

How do I get it, dear Liza, how?

Walk dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,

Walk, dear Henry, dear Henry, you have legs.

But the floor is wet, dear Liza, dear Liza,

The floor is too wet, dear Liza, too wet.

Wear wellies, dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,

Wear wellies, dear Henry, dear Henry, wellies.

There's a hole in my welly, dear Liza, dear Liza,

There's a hole in my welly, dear Liza, a hole.

I realise how stupid this is because if the floor is wet then he can wet the stone in a puddle....

My horses used to split my wellies treading on my feet with their metal shoes. Used to find duct tape helped for abit until it got too muddy then it would just come off. Not sure there is a cure for broken wellies

Was thinking of getting the iron out and melting them

Obviously not whilst I'm wearing them

Just where I need to be.

The sheep will be more appreciative of new wellies. They will think you have made an effort.

P.O. Box DE1 0NQ

At least I don't get the sheep jibes now I'm not superramfan anymore

I just use a puncture repair kit when I'm a bit too rough with her though

Why not try some waders OP, they're much more kinky than wellies

Wellies are made of rubber, so they melt easily, heat a knife up and push it into the slit/hole until the rubber melts, withdraw the knife and it will seal. Apply pressure until it cools.

Job done

If they've split you are on a hiding to nothing IME - treat yourself to some of the new waterpoof leather boots, they're much nicer to wear and bargains can be found!
