Being recognised from fab?

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

I had the weirdest experience today, i've not been on here long but today a woman that came in my work said she recognised me from fabswingers and quoted my username. I've since rehidden my face picture! I went redder than red! I was so embarrased! Now i think about the fact she recognised me i actually find it a really big turn on.

Has anyone had this happen to them?

We had a guy message us after we had been to the local shop, saying it was nice to see you guys in the shop and that he liked jasmine boots.

It was a bit odd!

I've seen a few people from here around, in bars etc. Never approached, I don't know if the people they are with know they're on here and I'm sure most wouldn't appreciate me coming up and saying, 'I know you...'

Discretion.

Yup had a fire in our street and one of the firemen recognised E from her pics on here. Weve since hidden her face pics as he sent some creepy messages afterwards...

can't say I ever have been, then again for discretion reasons I have never done face pictures and only ever shown a handful of people my face on webcam...

the rest just see the lower part of my face and chest really whenever I go on cam so doubt anyone aside from those who I have shown my face too will recognise me..

Plymouth and Newcastle (sometimes)

This is why we have our faces in 'friends only'. On the rare occasion of catching a bus home after a night out we logged on to find a message asking if it was us on the bus!!! And that was just from the pics in public

Someone came into my work once and asked if I recognised him. Then he said I should do off 'that website'. It was awkward to say the least. The second time it happened....on Feb 14th ....I had to politely ask him not to come in again. Thankfully he clearly took on board what I said and has stayed away. I think

Outside of swinging I've recognised people and spotted people I meet or previously met. Know them or not I wouldn't be charging over to them in their workplace quoting fab & username

Seems a very strange thing for anyone to do. Saying that for some discretion doesn't come into the equation and wear their swingers badge like a worthy medal.

I recall a guy approaching someone I know in front of her kids whilst she was out shopping. Not a good idea

This makes perfect sense to me...there is no shame, but privacy and discretion should mean that you can stay just that...private...

As for the 'we are all her for the same reason' line of thought, well we aren't, or there wouldn't be any threads about time wasters, fakers, people who are abusive, or creepy stalky types...To me being discrete is acceptable and good sense, and if I ever recognised someone from here in public I would never approach them.

Just shows that we are all indeed different. ...and best wishes to all.

Sitting on a wall one sunny evening drinking a cold drink and chatting. A security guard kept walking by us. Was odd but we ignored him. Logged on to fab to find a message saying they had seen me. I'm sure something could be arranged.

In general it is totally inappropriate to raise something of such a personal nature to someone in a different context. Even if they were alone, it is unnerving and could appear like intimidation.

If people are forced in contact elsewhere, then just stay quiet.

Seems to happen to me quite often - every few months I get a message from one guy or another saying that they've recognised me somewhere...

The oddest was when a man recognised me and approached me when I was on holiday - nearly 200 miles from home...!!!

It's very confusing as I don't have face photos on display - just body ones - and yet they recognise me..

I have been recognised by two different colleagues who work in the same building as myself. I met each in clubs on seperate occasions. I don't know if they know each other professionally or otherwise. I don't know either professionally but I still won't play with them as that could complicate matters

One, I meet frequently in clubs with their partner. I have never been embarrased as we are both adults and aren't doing anything wrong

I was out one weekend last summer with a guy I met from a normal dating site. We'd been on a number of dates and the plan was he'd get his wicked way with me that night.

During the course of the night I saw 2 of my previous meets. One just said hi and passed by, the other watched until the guy I was out with had gone to the loo then came over to talk. He was lovely and wished me all the best but said if it didn't work out to get in contact.

By 1am I'd slept with my date for the 1st time. He left at 7am to go to work and by 9am the 2nd guy from the night before was laid next to me

I just ignore people I know from here nowadays, it's the only way I can be reasonably good

I care. It's like they are in the playground. Yooooooo Hooooooo I know who you are.

If it really didn't matter they'd just get on with their daily life and let you get on with yours.

I'd expect a someone well known to me to say hi .... but a one off fuck .... or someone you've never met who saw your face online ??? That's called a total STRANGER.

Noticed an avatar on a lady's profile then shopping in Waitrose the deli counter lady looked similar, any way couple weeks later after messaging her she did not burst out laughing af her counter kept well composed and calm until after her shift

Few years ago I was recognised by a guy on here, he mailed me a few times with nothing but my surname.

I ignored him each time until one day he told me he had taken screenshots of my profile and would show everyone at my work unless I allowed him to suck my cock.

Luckily for me he didn't realise he just screwed himself, told him go for it I'll just show them your threat, that was the end of it.

Now I just tell people that I'm on here, it's not embarrassing anymore
