Airports deal with alerts daily, having worked at Heathrow for a number of years.

The BAA wouldn't evacuate unless it was a credible threat.

"I'm hoping it's an over-cautious false alarm. "

Takeen from the BBC

Det Supt Nick May said: "At this time, we are investigating the circumstances of the incident and it is too early to say what the item may be.

"However, given the events in Paris on Friday evening, there is heightened awareness around any such incident and it is best that we treat the matter in all seriousness."

I suspect that had this happened Thursday it wouldn;t have even made the news

Not only rude it also looks lazy. It's not hard to go and type a search term into Google.

I also know someone on here who told me they got a forum ban for posting a news related link in the past. I don't think links should be posted for this reason, if people want to find out more about a story they should look into it themselves really.

Thry should bill the cunt for the whole operation that had to be actioned as a result of his gross arragance thinking that it was ok to have a rifle and knife in his luggage.

He was probabley trying to avoid extra charges for safe transport of dangerouse goods.

I hope they throw the bloody book at him! personaly would have taken him round the back and given him a good kicking for being a cunt!

He's been named now but I do hope he turns out to be a non-Muslim - the reaction to the the news yesterday on the Daily Mail was so beyond the pale that I love them having egg on their faces.

It's not about being a Muslim or not I don't care what someone believes in that's their own business.

The man in question knows the rules and he broke them causing a lot of people grief by being so Aragant to think that he is above what everyone else considers quite important in the safety of every other passenger.

The problem these days is that a lot of peeps are so afraid that every body who follows Islam is a potential terrorist just as IS wants them to.

They count on the fear factor do cause the most damage, and sorry to say it seems to be working in a lot of cases.
