Are plasterers always this bloody clumsy ?

Just got home from work, nice and early when I received a phone call from the occupiers of a lovely ground floor retail outlet that I only finished rewiring on October.

"There are some plasterers working upstairs and one of them was mixing his plaster but didn't know he had a hole in his bucket, so all hia water has come through the ceiling and into our bloody shop and the eletricity has gone off - is there anything you can do ?"

So I asked where the water had gone and the reply was, "You know that big long box with all the trip switches inside ? - it poured through there and onto the floor"

Shit - looks like I'm in for a long night dunnit

He should have liability insurance so in the end you will not have to fork out any money

Oh it'll not cost me anything, I was just the humble sparky who rewired the place for the current occupier and who got called back to sort out this mess for them ..

Back home sooner than I thought - nice little earner, so I think I'll take a couple of days off now lol

Could have been worse mind you - the server gear and the internal telephone system were only a couple of feet further along the wall - only just escaped a soaking, now that WOULD have been a mess

Ooops lol

Was it so bad that you couldnt see all you bits of wire, ends of screws (that I normally kneel on!! ) small plastic bags and untold bits of copper wire that act like a vapour trail behind a sparx?...lol

Tell you something though...these days you have moor chance of someone actually speaking to you in the chatrooms on a Saturday night than finding a decent spread..the good ones are as rare as white doggy doos..
