"I might sound odd but i actually enjoy it, having regular check ups plus brushing and flossing twice a day should help prevent anything major. Only seen the hygienist once in last 2 years as they say my oral health is excellent " Mine are generally fine. I just wished I looked after them better when I was younger. I'm happy they visually still look alright. I'm also happy to go for regular check-ups also.

"I miss my dentist in the US. He was amazing. My dentist here is alright. She gets the job done, but I always feel she is just doing as little as possible to get me out... -Courtney" Being American I imagine you've got perfect pearly white teeth anyway. Or is that just another myth?
"I'm not keen but it's a necessary evil. Lots of us who were born in the fifties had parents who lived through sugar rationing and compensated for it on their kids." Yes I come into That category unfortuneately, with one Tooth out this summer absess Included And more to come out soon the dentists Like me from a financial point of view, my mum had already got dentures at My age, oh well there is my bus pass to Look forward to..

I've been to the dentist more often than my GP, as an adult. -Courtney

"Had some work done when I was 16, think dentist was a fan of marathon man... I was butchered over a period of time and couldn't set foot in a dental surgery for years. When I did finally crop up the courage to ignore the sweats and the panic and go through the door I promptly passed out. It has taken the best part of 30 years to be able to walk into the dentist without fighting the panic but I still find it difficult " I got Through the panic stage when I was in my mid 20,s, haveing good dentists, but stepping down from private to nhs I can see what I payed for before but I don,t regret the change, its not one I wanted to make but times change and Sometimes its wise if you can change with them, my nhs dentist goes around my mouth like a mad rally driver, asking at the same time if I,m all right, with blood dribbling down my chops, when he finish,s he says to me Take a rinse, even thou I,m pretty up For it all there is always a sense of Relief when he,s finished, parting with The cash don,t help much either..

"I LOVE the dentist. Everything about it. The smell the taste of the latex gloves in my mouth. Having them poked about with a metal stick to the mouthwash stuff at the end. A love it. I wouldn't even complain of the price went up. " Wow, I've never known so much enthusiasm for the dentist! Slightly unusual that
"I haven't been for about 2 years, I keep forgetting to make an appointment for a checkup. I really should No fillings here though " Show off. You really should have regular check-ups though.

"I hasnt been to the dentist in over ten years after a particulary nasty incident with a wisdom tooth. My fear is irrational. I know it is but it's also very real. I have a rotten tooth which causes me to have a recurring abscess. The abscess causes all sorts of illnesses and I have been hospitalised more than once the last time with Acute Necrotising Ulcerative something or other (trench mouth). On top of this, I over compensate by cleaning my teeth lots which apparently causes issues! They treat the infection and tell me to come back but I very rarely do. I went in the summer as my doctor refused to prescribe anti biotics again and I managed to sit through a partial polish. I was supposed to go back for a filling and they agreed to sedate me for the rotten tooth extraction but I never went. Reading this back it looks and makes me feel stupid and very emotional. I know I have to go. I just can't... My friend is also terrified. She is currently pregnant so gets free treatment but still won't go. We offered to hold her hand & she cried x "

Something to do with the NHS treatments being free when your a child I believe. People won't believe it, but Mr Fry said so. So there!
