Has anyone ever done this?

I need new glasses so I've been doing some window shopping and I think I've found a pair I like.

However, me being me, the frames are not cheap so I went hunting for them online. The frames I like are £132 cheaper online. I realise I'll have to pay for the lenses on top of that but it's still going to save me some cash.

I just wondered if anyone had done this and was it fine?

Menston near Ilkley

I imagine that the glasses will be as your prescription, however the focal point fitting might be adrift.

Yes, I have. It went more or less seamlessly. The only slight hitch was that I have a requirement for complex lenses, apparently and so had to phone them. This led to a conversation about was I aware I had picked female frames.....

I went to glasses direct for my new glasses.

Had the eye test done first didnt like the price got 2 pairs including reactolights in them for 80.00 also has a 20% discount on them

im also having to go back as well to get a glass frame pair again as the plastic lenses ruin faster than the glass type

You must have pretty big eyes if you need a pair of windows.

Going for my eye test tomorrow, probably gonna need new glasses, take a pair of old ones and tell them to put new lenses in the old frames

I've just bought them. Varifocals!

I'm a geriatric!

Still... found cheaper frames that are just as nice as the Dior ones I liked. Expensive taste!

And if I hate the varifocals then I can change them for one of each.
