Comfort eater all the way here. When I get bouts of depression, I eat more crap basically to try and make myself feel better. It never works for me and I now have 2 stone to try and lose. xx |

I have a terrible relationship with food.most days don't eat enough,so end up using protein shakes as I know I need something to burn off during work.at home just drink tea instead...sometimes my stomach can be rumbling but I don't feel hungry atall. |

I never used to understand the comfort eating thing, until a good few years ago. It was after I told my ex husband he had to leave the house, some days after I collected my girls from their primary school and infront of all the other parents, this one rather loud girl came running up to me and shouted 'your husband has left you hasn't he',which I wouldn't mind was wrong anyway. Rather shocked I just grabbed my two and fled. When I got home I went straight for a choccie bar, from this moment on I understood the phrase comfort eating |

Since the start of summer I've been more of a starver, when I'm stressed I do forget to eat, or sometimes I just can't be bothered to... I hate how my skin would feel after a comfort feed, all greasy and spotty. |

Depends. Usually if im stressed out I eat an inordinate amount of crap. It was my lo birthday party today and im in court all day tues fighting round 8/9 of her custody battle so you'd have thought I would have eaten lots of buns etc but no. I spent 3 hours trying to keep an eye on my dad who we believe to be incredibly ill (various reasons) and didn't toucj anything. Ive now looked back on pics taken and whoever the man is in them thats supposed to be my daddy I want the real one back! |

I've done some serious starving, I always do when somebody leaves me, appetite just completely disappears.
On more than one occasion I've gone without any food for a whole month, and getting back into eating was an ordeal.
I get a loss of appetite with stress, anger, grief, and depression. Never been a comfort eater, just someone who eats when comfortable, or when bored. I put on a lot of weight in my previous relationship just by being bored all the time.
I eat a fair amount in this relationship because I'm happy, but Neil helps burn calories and keep boredom at bay |

From 1991 to 2000 I let a guy that I was in a long term relationship make me feel completely shit about myself!
I ballooned to a size 16 at my biggest. I ate to feel better because he made me feel like crap! In January 2000 I went on a diet, lost three stone, and ditched the bastard a year later!
since then I've never let my emotional state dictate my eating habits, and hope I never will again!
Helps that life is great right now - I am happier now than I've ever been! |
