I'm white and don't sit out in the sun if and when it's hot enough for it, And the only time I use a sunbed is a few weeks before I go on holiday as I don't tan I just go red
I don't have a preference of white or tanned Women myself |

Pale.
I don't sit in the sun ever. I carry factor 50 with me. If I get caught out, I burn. I have skin cancer. Nothing funny about getting a 10p size hole cut in your face while you're awake.
Sunbeds are evil.

I don't understand why people become so obsessed about getting a tan. And I don't think people fully understand the risks of sunbeds either. They are deadly. |

I wear fake tan sometimes. Other times I embrace the natural pale. I have a few white bits and freckles when I come back from somewhere sunny. So my skin colour will differ depending what time of the year you catch me.
On others I have no preference - just whatever suits them. |

I guess a little color is nice, but I'm not really bothered either way.
I'm naturally olive skinned. In the US I had a nice tan constantly. I don't wear fake tan or go to tanning beds. I'm too lazy and I don't like what they achieve, really.
Since moving to England I have turned into a ghost. And I don't really care

I love getting a tan! I know skin cancer isn't a joke, but I do feel better getting a bit of vitamin D.
Can't beat lying on a nudist beach and getting ya white bits brown! Lol |

Totally guilty of being an electric beach user n sun worshiper but I do use factor 20 in the sun even though I tan super easy
I know the risk and accept them and yes I could use fake tan if I could find 1 I didn't get a horrid lumpy rash off. I just feel better with some colour as I tend to look like draculars daughter when I am pale all drawn n dark under the eyes and poorly lookin and yes I could use make up but again I react to it so bit rock n hard place |

To those who sunbath to get a tan. If my mum can get skin cancer - anyone can. She was always very careful not to be caught in the sun and never sunbathed and still got the most serious kind of skin cancer.

I'm completely pale and happy with it. Id never use a sunbed or fake tan because of the health risks and also i think i'd look ridiculous.
I don't really take it into account when considering meeting people either. |

Ginger with some Celtic heritage means I'm never going to go brown
Pale and interesting, plus it gives me a good reason to wear a snazzy hat to protect the head and shade the face... Less squinting into the sun means fewer wrinkles (hopefully) |

"Maybe I was not clear enough. I asked about girls' preference on guys: pale white or tanned? "
Oh. Tanned preferably, but it depends on what looks right on a specific guy. I'm not too bothered either way.

Ah well after first year I moved in UK I was as white as milk. Never been so white in my life. Then I decided to do sunbeds to avoid to be the only pale person in my country when going back
Replying to other people, tan makes muscles more visible and cover skin defects. This is the reason beyond tanning.
Then if you are in a summer resort or in a sunny country, being tanned is essential from a social point of view as well as to avoid getting burn. |

On others I have no preference... Though "over done" doesn't look right.
On me... I'm happy with naturally pale. Having seen someone with severe skin cancer, I try todo everything I can to reduce the risk.
Cal is naturally pale but does a lot of time cycling, so in warmer weather has brown and white bits

"I hate the sun. No good for all my tattoos so I'm constantly pale
Nice white skin
...but I asked if you prefer tanned guys or pale ones "
Ohhhhh. Shush, I've been up since early, I'm tired
Pale then, guys who do sunbeds are usually too metrosexual for me! |

"I tan incredibly easily and often get asked if I'm mixed race during the summer. Always wear factor 20 when I'm out in it and 30 on my face. "
Lol I thought you were mixed race |

Pale, I think I look better with a tan but its not worth looking 70 at 50 or other risks.
The fake stuff is no good, a short blonde like me just looks like an umpa lumpa |

I blame entirely the girls if I became metrosexual |

I am a naturally pale, occasionally freckled dark-haired careful in the sun type. I'd quite like to have a tan since it makes my blue eyes stand out (well it did twenty plus years ago, which was the last time I had anything approaching a tan) but I'd have to fake it to do so and frankly I can't be arsed. Plus I'm cack-handed so I know I'd fuck it up and end up looking like a badly creosoted fence. I don't mind other peoples' tan choices though. |

I glow in the dark.
I have a LOT of moles.. mostly on my back. I was left in the sun as a baby and my back got badly burnt. It's been suggested that that's part of the reason I have so many moles on my back.
I don't tan, I just burn, peel, go back to white. Factor 50 is a must and I wear a tshirt at the beach/pool/whatever. I got caught in the sun for half an hour with no suncream this summer and by the time I could buy some I had already gone pink around my cheeks and across the top of my boobs.
I tried fake tan and it just looks silly on me. |

"Am pale AND freckley! Lol x
You look very pretty
But I asked how you like guys? Pale or tanned...? "
Sorry! Actually i'm not at all fussy with that think a guy that was overly fake tanned would be a bit offputting tbh. A bit vain. I like a manly man :D x |

I couldn't care less whether man has been in the sun or not.
I want to play with him, not make a handbag.
No choice about my own tan, sadly. It's there 24/7, so I couldn't be pale and interesting if I tried.

With "tanned" I do not mean "overly fake tanned". I mean of course "properly tanned". |
