Does anyone know how to to get the Somfy Impresario Chronis io to work with the Somfy Oximo 50 io motors
I also have the Telis 1 io which I managed to get to work with one motor. I just pressed the buttons randomly and now have no idea how I got it to work |

I have no idea what you're talking about but have you tried switching it off and on again?....failing that swear at it and push the buttons harder... Failing that hit it with a hammer.
Standard advice there. Works with most things. |

"I imagine Somfy know how it works. If you phone a local blind company that should be able to get the number of the local rep. "
It is not yet sold in this country. I telephoned Somfy in Germany and I do have the manuals (in German) but the Impresario still does not autoscan. I have two of these units so both cant be faulty and 3 motors installed
The installer, although very good at installing the motors, doesn't have a clue as to how to program bi-directional systems; he has only ever worked with simple RTS systems |

"Phew! Now I know what they are without being seen to be an arse and having to ask or spend valuable non fab time googling.
Duh!?! Lol
Exactly "
You two are really helpful
The Oximo 50 IO are bi-directional remote controlled shutter motors
The Impressario is a scenario programmer. The Telis is an IO remote control |

"The op makes my other half rambling to his mates about the heat exchange whatsit in a Baxi combi thingy seem crystal clear! "
Granted that it does all sound a bit complicated
I thought it would be like programming a computer; simple. But oh no; press this button for 0.5 secs and that one with another one for 4 secs and then wait for 2 secs and then .....
I now think that the other two motors may be slightly misaligned and as these operate 2 m and 2.5 m wide shutters, the sensors are what are stopping these from from moving too much to avoid damage. I can mess around with buttons on gadgets but when it comes to climbing up ladders and messing around with mains power is when I start thinking that men do have a use. Am calling the installer again on Monday |

"do you have a copy the operating an installation guide? "
Yes; it is in German, which I can read. But I don't know how to translate some really technical terms; I don't even know what those mean in German, let alone in English |
