Can someone please tell me why some people just don't have a wash?
I have just had to walk away from a meet because she smelt like a raw fish?

It's pretty obvious isn't it if you're going to get down and dirty that you're not, er, dirty!
It's basic rule number 1 in the Noddy book of meet etiquette? Surely?
In this day and age it seems incomprehensible that anyone wouldn't have basic hygiene standards in place if they expect some naughty business

As much as I understand that the forum is for chatting, can you imagine how demoralizing it is going to be for the meet if she is here and reads your message?. Yes ok she had an odour (putting it politely) but you could have chatted with her about it privately instead of making them feel like crap. Sorry but it is my opinion and you wouldn't like it if the roles were reversed. |

Jest aside I'm not sure why good hygiene is a struggle for some. Can only assume they know no different.

To be honest that doesn't sound normal.
I shower everyday but I'm sure if I didn't for a couple of days I wouldn't smell as bad as you describe. It sounds as though she has some kind of infection.
She must of "looked" clean for you to have gotten that far. Surely if it was just hygene she would of looked grubby generally.

For future reference, I find taking a chamois and a bottle of Febreze to meets can help get over these awkward moments
Give her passion flower a quick squirt with Himalayan Sunset and then a dab down with the chamois and your good to go  |

To be fair it would be a good thing if she did read this post .
If it's bv she can get treatment - if it's a yeast infection she can also get that treated .
And in the meantime , until treated she shouldn't be looking for meets .
It's this kind of thing that gives swinging a bad name .
Truly wrong on every level , and although we only have the ops version , I see no reason why he would post if it wasn't the case .

Introduction
Trimethylaminuria is an uncommon genetic disorder that causes a strong body odour usually described as like rotting fish, faeces or garbage.
The odour is created when the body isn't able to process trimethylamine. This is a smelly chemical that's produced in the gut, particularly when certain choline-rich foods are digested.
What are the signs and symptoms?
If you have trimethylaminuria, the chemical trimethylamine builds up in your body and you'll give off a strong odour in your sweat, urine, saliva and vaginal fluids. There are usually no other symptoms.
Some people have a strong odour all the time but, in most cases, it varies in intensity over time.
The smell usually first becomes apparent in childhood when children are weaned. This is because certain foods are responsible for the odour (see below). However, it sometimes starts in adulthood.

It's extremely rare condition, and the person with it cannot smell themself so wouldn't know about it.
It's BV that makes someone have a fishy fanny, not thrush. Thrush makes it smell 'bread' like (or yeasty). Both these conditions can be caused by an imbalance in natural bacteria in the vagina or gut. |

If she's unwell, she's probably feeling like shit, after reading most of the comments. Things like this can be very alienating. Hugs for anyone who's got a condition or low, or a far off wave for those who are reluctant to cleanse prior to a meet. |

Have to sympathise, it would turn us off in a flash too, just walk away.
I was once playing at a party with a lady who was lovely but having sex for 1/2 hour made me get into a sweat. After we had finished, in order to be nice and fresh for another woman later on, I used the shower. She got into a right strop, I tried to explain about personal freshness and it was no reflection on her but ........

I think you need to be aware that some people have a genuine (and very debilitating/embarrassing) condition which causes an strong odour.
I have a friend with it and also knew a work colleague years ago. Showering, washing etc has no impact - he's as hygiene conscious as they come.
It's a known medical problem. Maybe she had it too.

Its true there are some mingers around. You walk around ny public building or even in the open air and you can smell people who clearly havent bathed or laundered for days. Then there are the skanky teeth/dog breath brigade and worst of all the fish fannies. My most horrific encounter was meeting a women off this website. Her pics looked fine and i thought i was in for a rare treat. When i saw her i was almost sick. She was a d*unk,had rotten teeth and the foulest dog breath you could imagine. I made my excuses and left. |

Recently we have noticed this issue becoming a real problem, twice I the male half have had a stand up and leave a group play session in a club because one person literally stinks, to the point I felt physically sick, there is no excuse in the clubs as the showers are free |

There is some dirty people about. Some guys and girls overpower with perfumes and cologne to mask the smell, makes it worse. Reminds me of an old headmistress she stank, musky smell, yuk |
