little house on the praire

Some may remember I lost my little old lady tigerlily, a couple of weeks ago.

My other three cats are ten and under and I decided my last space for a cat ( I can quite happily have four) was going to another old one.

I went to the rescue centre and I've come back with another old lady she's 16 and has no teeth

Well, talk about make yourself at home in less than an hour she was lazing in the middle of the sofa eating roast chicken(,with no teeth) the others are happy but if they get too close she hisses. But one big happy family.

I've named her Autumn.

Brilliant I'm sure she'll settle right in and the others will get used to her, cats are very resilient. Great name

Bristol

I haven't been able to think seriously about getting another cat yet. I'm still a bit raw about mine and need to wait until I've got a week off for a new one to settle in with me there. But I did start the local cat rescue centre process so my house won't be bereft of feline company for too long. And enjoy your new lady; she's lucky to have you.

I was waiting till after Christmas as we are away twice, but jay bless him said we would put the first break off till after Christmas so I could get one and settle her in. The one thing that made me come to terms with it is knowing how old she was and was happy in her last years.

Wish I had more room to have more
