Have you altered your processed meat portion sizes, following the cancer risk highlight?

No, as I eat red meat about once a month if that and I like it.

All things in moderation, and I'm sick of being told what to eat/drink!

I've stopped eating salami. I just leave the wrapper on and use it for something else.

Too much being told what to eat and drink. People didn't all back in the day without fear mongering and look at our oldest people on the planet, into their 90's and triple digits. We rarely eat much red meat and when we do, we will enjoy it without being worried about cancer or anything else.

If I listened to everything I heard etc I would be forever at the shops buying this and that then going back in the next week changing it all again.

My view is we are all going to die at some point; we could spend our life worrying about getting cancer and not worrying about something else we might die of, when my time is up, it's up and I want to make sure I had a damn good time while I'm here!

I work in a butchers. I eat a crazy amount of meat and I have no intention of stopping. If I stopped eating everything that supposedly made us fat/cancerous/diabetic/sugar addicted/ blah blah blah... I'd live on lettuce, but it would have to be organic lettuce at £2 each coz Of the pesticides

I'm very much a die happy rather than live miserably so I think I'll carry on eating, drinking, and doing what I want.

I eat processed meats because they're tasty.

I drink cider and beers because they're tasty and alter my mind.

I ride motorbikes because it gives me a rush.

All of the above have the ability to kill me in some way, shape or form. I'll carry on with it.

I frequently eat one slice of bacon at day and often the cafe puts a freebie on too and I don't eat much meat generally, after being a veggie for years - which I'm not now. That means that I won't get cancer - fact - courtesy of Courtney

I'm going to be avoiding cooked processed meats though - not that they're something I eat much at all.

The World Health Organisation recommendations come from decades of increasingly sophisticated research, rather different to the regular 'don't eat this/that' headlines, usually courtesy of the daily fail or express misinterpreting research studies.

I don't eat meat, I don't smoke, I don't [whatever else give's you cancer]. But it's fine, cuz I'll prolly end up with diabetes instead.

the more n more I see it everybody wants to blame something for causing cancer..yet quite like to ignore our intake of pollution from cars etc...

Yes it might be me one day, then again it might not be me..I control who I pollute as I smoke which is fair...I'd rather people just fucked off when telling me what should go in my body..when I essentially already feel some of that is outwith my control.

It's hardly news, we have known processed meat is bad for us for a long time!

Other than my 3 day butlins weekend recently, I hardly ever eat processed meat.

Very difficult too not eat processed meat on a butlins camp when d*unk 24 7!
