I have listened to radio 2 for a long time but now find I can't stand Jeremy Vine, Steve Wright and Simon Mayo. So I stopped listening to the radio at work. That was until the berk in the office next to mine insisted on playing radio 1. So I dialled in 6 music and haven't looked back. There's some stuff on there that I've never heard! Stewart Maconie played 'helter skelter' yesterday - apparently attributed as the first ever 'heavy metal' song! (Oh I know there's gonna be a load of other songs been attributed to that) - bring it on lol! |

My sole reason for buying a digital radio. It's like Radio 2 used to be,before that became like Radio 1 used to be.
But,yes,I do like Popmaster because (are you listening Radio 1? No,of course you're not: you're too busy being pleased with yourselves and laughing at the failed stand-up comedians/DJs. Opinionated? Damn right.) Ken Bruce actually KNOWS HIS POP HISTORY!
I have a list of music I have heard and want to check out or buy and in the last couple of years most of it has come from Radio 6.
They brought me to "Keep It Like a Secret" by Built To Spill, they've actually played Teenage Fanclub,Big Star and Neon Neon in the same show and that's reason enough for me.
