I'm a creature of habit and I like what I like so when I found a lippy I liked in NYC two years ago I bought six of them.

My boss was over on business so I sent him to buy me some more. Alas they've been discontinued.

So I've been on the search for a new one. I don't like gloss cause my hair gets stuck to it, so much prefer a matt finish. I've just been round to Boots and found one in Max Factor that is the perfect colour and has a matt finish. I didn't notice that it's a 24 hour one so now I have a big streak of lippy up the back of my hand that won't come off!!

Ladies... recommendations please? Matt finish and preferably one that I don't need a welder to remove!

hiding from cock pics.

I recently got a bright red matte made by Rimmel I believe it's in the love Kate Range by Kate Moss. It's easy to remove and looks good while you're wearing it...

Have you tried Ebay for the one you liked?

Sometimes you find places that have old stocks. I manage to find old proper original lacoste aftershaves on there

Yup... I've exhausted all avenues. Same thing happened to my lippy before it. Clarins discontinued that one and I bought the old stock on eBay. It's a conspiracy!!

I can't wear the MF ones they dry my lips out!

I really like Boots No7 Stay Perfect range as it has good staying power without the dryness. Raspberry Silk is the colour I wear a lot, they also have a great shade of red for me, always find that colour a little tricky to get right.

Clinique Chubby Sticks Intense.

All the way!

I love Roomiest Rose and Heftiest Hibiscus.

But I'm olive skinned.

Great staying power, handy shape and not too pricey or drying.

Bio oil is really great for dry skin/lips. Not cheap but for the amount you use its epic value. I got it for a scar but I use it every day on all of my face and my skin is way less dry and super soft.

Chanel rouge allure matte, MAC matte or satin finish, Nars matte and Charlotte Tilbury matte are my favourites.

For a more budget option the Kate Moss Rimmel ones are pretty decent.

Oi

It is hard work, I apply it over a layer of lipbalm and a layer of lipliner and then find it ok.

I absolutely adore Lime Crime, the lipsticks and the velvetines which are matte finish.

Turns out MUA from Superdrug do a pretty excellent dupe for the velvetines, matte finish and stay on through anything. And they're £3 instead of £20odd.

I've two in a drawer I can't use as they're so dry. Might try melting down with coconut oil?

I don't often wear lipstick but this thread makes me want to. When I do I have a Clinique nude one I love and a Boots raspberry one that is the perfect shade for me. I am always too scared to go vibrant and glossy and prefer a matt. I was a Lipcote devotee in my twenties as a way of getting L'Oréal ones to stay put but I hate having dry lips.

Oh, tinted Soap & Glory Sexy Motherpucker is a revelation if a little too sticky for hair down use.

Soap and Glory.

They don't do a huge range of colours but they're moisturising and feel good on even the matte ones.
