I have adopted two kitties from a rescue centre. I want to arrange pet insurance but can't find a price comparison site without filling in loads of forms to get quotes.
Anyone got any suggestions please? |

Pet Plan. Little more expensive than others, but their customer service is second to none. Also they insure for the lifetime of an illness unlike many other companies. For example should one be diagnosed with diabetes or arthritis, then Pet Plan will insure until the illness passes, or the animal does, many companies will only pay out for 6 months. |

Personally I would save the insurance money and spend it on feeding your cats the best quality food possible. It's well known that cat and dog food is really bad for them.
Just my opinion |

Too much tuna is not good for people either. I'm sure you can Google what is the healthiest food to feed cats. |

I use Animal Friends.
With all due respect, feeding them the right food is one thing but taking no insurance and they get hit by a car, chances are they won't be that hungry but they might need an operation. |

Whats a cat weigh? 4 or 5 kg?
A car is about 1 and half tun at guess, chances are your vet is not operating on a flat cat!
If you live near a busy road and you choose to let your cat out that's a risk you take.
All I'm saying is that diet is important, many cats get cancer every year. Actually 50% of all cat deaths are caused by cancer. I'm not saying there directly linked to diet but there's a lot of evidence saying that the well known cat food brands cause cancer.

I have gone for pet plan, not the cheapest but it was recommended by quite a few people.
Check with your vets, as some insurance companies they won't deal with. |

My cat is an indoor kitty so she's unlikely to get run over but for six quid a month I have the peace of mind that she'll get the best care if she needs it and my savings won't be obliterated in the process. It's personal choice I guess. |

I'm not suggesting that anyone shouldn't insure there cat, if you can afford both that's even better.
Just a lot of people don't realise how crap most the cat food is.
It's hardly surprising really when you think about how much unhealthy rubbish there is in supermarkets for humans. |

Thanks for your suggestions and comments. I feed them food recommended by the vets. I live in a rural location so they are unlikely to get squished by a vehicle, but renal problems , epilepsy or whatever can be costly. Will check out the companies mentioned. Cheers xx |

What ever you do look into the details as some cheap policies are worthless or almost so. |
