Massive fan here but hugely disappointed when we saw them at Finsbury Park. Wasn't totally their fault though, terrible venue and terrible crowd.
Would love to see them at Glastonbury as both of those problems would be solvex. |

And not a particularly great frontman. Don't get me wrong they deserve their place in history, it's a fabulous debut album and the band were arguably genre and generation defining.
But anyone that raves about them as a live act presumably has seen very little live music to compare it too |

Agree about Finsbury very disappointing. I was prepared for the shit singing on the basis no ships would be drawn to the foghorn in north London. But the rest of it made it a day to forget. Hopefully better next time and new songs. |

Heaton Park was indeed messy as hell. It was like being in a crowd with 70,000 Liam Gallaghers though.
I do love them though. I get the criticism of them live, but I've still enjoyed seeing them. He can be a very bad singer ;though mostly ok when I've seen them), but the others are fabulous musicians. Reni is an insanely musical, intuitive drummer.
Kinda surprised it's the Etihad - they're all big Utd fans except Reni. Sure Mani will come out with some wisecracks. |
