Docklands Light Railway strike

The RMT staff is on a 48hr strike from today, the reason is a row over working practices, including the use of agency staff. First ever strike on the docklands railway in its 21 year history since 1987 when it went live.
London bridge was full as the only link from east London to city and at times the gates was closed due to station packed. What is your view and are you affected by the strike? I wonder why they need agency staff as its driverless trains. |

It's not just a row over agency staff.
Staff are being hassled at home when they are sick.
It seems the new management brought in ten months ago are a right load of bastards.
No disputes in its twenty five year history then three major disputes since the new management takeover. I know who I'm blaming. |

they're not technically driver-less there's alway a member of staff operating the train might not be at the front but they're there!
i was affected at canary wharf as most people who usually get the DLR to stratford wanted the jubilee line.
luckily i had changed my route too work last week so know of a different way to get the train i wanted so wasn't too big of a deal even if i did have some blokes sweaty pits in my face half way to green park. |

Na there aren't as many carriages as the tube so should be much lighter lol |

Good point and that is right, not as many carriages on the dlr. |

Who needs the DLR when you can catch the Emirates cable car ~ I tried it for the 1st time tonight, was amazing!!
