I always try to get something away from ASDA.
Usually if we use the self service checkout I (Bob) will get something for free.
Today I got a bulb of garlic - just for the sheer hell of it, to say that I'd gotton away with something
Am I bad ? |

I did something like that inadvertently last week.
I bought a couple of 4 packs of my favourite beer, and accidently scanned the barcode on the bottle rather than on the pack - so I got 8 bottles for under £3 - I bought a few other odds and ends and throught it was rather cheap but it didnt twig until I got home and checked the receipt.
I'm sorely tempted to do it again, but I have the worst pokerface in the world so I just know I'll get caught |

Oh dear, here goes being very unpopular!
I used to work in retail security, and I could understand those that stole food because they were skint, but those that steal for the kick, well, it bugged me. Genuine mistakes happen, but doing it for the "thrill" is wrong.
One guy came in at about 2am one night, wandered round, and, just cos I was bored I followed him around discretly.
He picked up a few items, and then pocketed a toothbrush and toothpaste.
So I follwed him to the checkout, and made it obvious I was watching him.
He paid for the items in his hand, and then looking at me he took the two items out of his pocket and said guess I better pay for these too.
He then took out an AMEX card, one of the real exclusive ones, and paid!!!
I followed him to the door, and told him he was banned from the store..... and he drove away in his BRAND NEW MERC!!
Food shoplifting (or stealing) puts an average of about £50 a year on everyone's food bill, so its not a victimless crime. |

And another 10 million pound profit for Tescos...
I would take anything...get done, criminal record for a tooth brush...that will look good on a CRB |

Well everytime we stay in a hotel i always steal a towel for my dog for her baths, and when she goes walking on rainy days. I don't take it from my room as it's too obvious but the morning of my checkout I sneak one from the trolleys while they are cleaning rooms. |

Noooo not worth it. Banned from store, maybe criminal record, carted out of shop by Police possibly in front of people you know, a civil recovery bill for anywhere from £70-£250 for something worth a few pennies. |
