Wannabe doms are so dangerous and detrimental. My understanding of it is that it comes from a position of gentleness, taking the power that the sub gives you...

I agree. For me it's a vibe I get off someone. I don't need to be told.If they start telling me then for me they are not dominant.I have a very strong will and only 2 people have managed to get to my submissive side and still not fully opened to them. |

A true dom will be patient, respectful, and have a good knowledge of what they are doing. They will take control rathar than be controlling (there's a difference). The purpose of their actions will ultimately be the subs pleasure/happiness (in my opinion/from experience).
Not some pip squeak who stole a copy of his Mrs 50 shades and thinks it's giving orders and a bit of spanking.  |
