We often reminisce here about stuff that has disappeared - white dog excrement one that's often commented upon: no thanks!
Local phone calls used to be cheaper. And off-peak call rates were charged on bank holidays. I wouldn't mind either of those coming back. |

But two points:-
1/ "Nothing stays the same" (the world's oldest philosophical truth, Heraclitus)
2/ Things aren't necessarily better or worse, just different.

I don't pay for any calls using my mobile, and I only pay for daytime calls using my landline. Unfortunately line rental for both are high.

A neighbourhood society- Where everyone helps each other out. want sugar nip round. Your out when school finishes, kids can just walk in a neighbours. Street parties to celebrate occasions, no babysitters needed...Get my drift |

They did a limited edition "refresher" bar sweet. It was apple and blackcurrant flavour. I'm surprised I still have teeth left the amount of boxes I ate. You could get them from macro. |

Clubs where you saw real bands like Ian Gillan, Blondie, Generation X , Cheap Trick etc for £2:50 then caught the night service home to find your dad had put the dead lick on so you had to climb the gate and sleep in the shed.
Or was that just me ? |
