As a Mum with three school age kids at home , I'm dreading it if they want to move away if/when the time comes |

I live in the house I grew up in (after a 15 year hiatus in London & Black Rock)... I convinced my parents to give it to us and moved them in to a smaller new build.
Not sure if that's progress or not but I can daub on the walls with impunity now |

Emm - born in Greenock, Scotland. Moved to Gosport when I was 5 (navy brat) then did a 5 year stint in Doncaster - but it was too far from the sea so I'm back in Gosport again (and Southampton )
I've seen Gosport mentioned a few times - small town - but kinky! |

I'm about 700 miles away from my birth place - I have moved so many times I'm now craving to be settled!
Over the years I've lived in Italy , New Zealand, India and now Germany and to be honest I can't wait to be back in England!
I miss baked beans |

I wouldn't know. NYC doesn't allow Wal-Marts so my experience is limited. We came for the non-wal Mart attractions.

Born in Solihull and spent 20 odd years living there. Then moved to the Black Country for 5 years. Spent several years flitting around parts of Birmingham such as Moseley, and Selly Oak before uping sticks to London, few years in Camden and Kentish Town, then a year in Hackney before moving to North Hertfordshire just over 4 years ago. This is the second longest time I've spent in one place. Provisional plans to move about 30 miles away from here next year.
I do regret not moving to London when I was much younger and part of me regrets that I have not lived in more places. I had planned to go to Manchester at one point and wish I had.

Born in Aylesbury left there at 20 and moved to Telford in shropshire. Left there at 40 and moved to Daventry in northamptonshire. I still think of Aylesbury as my hometown but developers have ruined it for me, all of my childhood haunts have been replaced, removed or built on, I barely recognise it anymore and I find that really sad |

I was a child then going where my parents said. Reading was the easiest place for my ex husband and I to meet at first, then job, marriage and child came along.
I have no real affinity to Reading except that my son was born here and has friends here.
I don't have affinity to any place which I feel is a negative to the positives I had in living in different countries as a child. |

Been up here 16 years and still get called a cockney, even though I was 80 miles away... I suppose working in London for 10 years gave me a twang as well as from my grandparents... |
