Anyone who can look back at his career and say publicly "what the hell did i think i was doing? I look like an idiot" (or words to c that effect) is all right by me!

Older Hot Bearded Guy

You forget how big Phil Collins was, apparently he's one of only three recording artists who've sold over 100 million albums worldwide, both as solo artists, and as a member of a band.

The other two being Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney.

One for the pub quiz!

Seeing Genesis live at Wembley was amazing.

Great to hear of a comeback. Just stay away from Disney soundtracks and sloppy stuff.

Btw fantastic drummer.

Beeston

Seems he is employing Jason Bonham as his drummer!

Jason being the drummer who succeeded Collins in Led Zeppelin....

Not surprised...the Internet has completely ruined publishing for the artists,or maybe his divorce settlements are finally catching up with him..still a great drummer and ...'But Seriously is a classic album

Also saw Genesis at Wembley. Along with Benny Hill, I seem to remember, doing the intro via video.

A lot will deride him, but In the air tonight, is a timeless classic. If his new stuff can match No jacket required.....

Benny is in one of their videos as Fred Scuttle, keeping people out of their dressing room.

"Oh yes, I've worked with em all. The Ink spots, I handled them, Herman's Hermits, I handled them, Dolly Parton, I had the pleasure of working with her once..."

He was on the Chris Evans show on Radio 2 the other week when his tour tickets went on sale at 9am... and we're all sold out by 9.05.. so there must be a few people out there who enjoy his music

Saw him on Johnathon Ross show - he should stay retired IMO, he is not well enough to give concerts IMo, his voice was not up to it poor chap.

As a music fan I have no problem with him. I once saw him playing drums for Eric Clapton and they did In The Air Tonight. it was all rather splendid.

"Seems he is employing Jason Bonham as his drummer!

Err not exactly; Jason Bonham is the son of John Bonham, who was Led Zeppelin's only actual drummer, until he died, after which Led Zeppelin effectively ceased to exist.

Phil Collins played drums for them once ( live aid " reunion") - and was dreadful.

Jason Bonham played drums for them at the O2 reunion concert; and was pretty good.

You won't see Led Zeppelin again , ever

Thrilled would be the wrong word. I like a bit of Phil though, Easy Lover is my signature karaoke number.

I saw him on Jonathan Ross. He looked quite frail. I think some should retire and stay retired.

But then they have expensive lifestyles and wives to keep happy

His voice sounded good - that's more than can be said for most artists on their comeback.
