I know that we should not believe all that we read in the press but I just wanted to get a feel for what the truth may be out there. Read this week about 40 or so electricians being laid off in Liverpool and that they would be joining hundreds of similarly skilled but unemployed workers. It rang a bell with me as I am looking for an electrician in the South but cannot get one to do some work and sign stuff off for weeks as they are all too busy. Is there a lack of awareness of opportunities down south or is there really not such an availability of skilled people elsewhere? |
