Every day on here I'll see at least two posts saying it's a turn off when ladies wear certain things. Ladies, what do you see a man in and think "dear god no"?
'Hilarious' slogan tshirts
Boot cut jeans

Track suit bottoms, three quarter length trousers that don't taper at the hem, any trousers that fasten under the stomach, combat trousers or shorts with loads of stuff in the pockets. I could go on but I fear I would become hysterical |

Crocs - be ashamed (unless you're gardening)
Jeans that hang off their arse - pull them up!
Shell suits - just no.
Cowboy boots - no no no and another dollop of no!
Leather trousers - you're too old for those (even if you're 20) you're not a cowboy.
Brown shoes with a suit - wrong on too many levels.
Vests - put on a t-shirt
That'll do for now. |

The only suits that should be worn with black shoes are black or charcoal ones.
Navy, camel etc should be worn with tan shoes.
A Navy suit with black shoes is a very common mistake. |

Oh no! Looks like I'm going to need to get a new wardrobe
OK, not really that bad. Never tried 'em myself, but I know someone who swears that Crocs are actually very comfy
However, some of my hates would be:
Shiny track suits when out shopping - actually, let's just say "Shiny Tracksuits"
"Wolfy" fleeces (or other animal patterned fleeces come to that)
3/4 track suit trousers (or even worse, summer trousers)
Men with trousers around their arse so they can show the waistband of their George / Next / Primark (delete as appropriate) undies
Football shirts when not attending a match - why?
A personal dislike of mine was the fashion for very wide arms on glasses (mainly for females). I tend to think they looked more like something from the 60's and not flattering
Anyway, off out to walk the dog now in my ensemble from Chav World, just need to find my other sandal

I can't think of anything I particularly abhor on a man unless it's dirty,or unkempt. The scruffy look takes a lot of hard work and only suits some men.
I did when my man friend walked in wearing those camel toe things. Is there some kind of health benefit to a two toed shoe? |

I'm not sure who makes the rules but brown shoes are fine with a brown suit or indeed anything else you wanna wear when you aren't employed in the legal world. When you work in law, or certainly in Edinburgh, brown shoes with a navy suit are a faux pas. I've never seen any man in the corporate world in a brown suit.
And leathers are fine if you're on a motorbike. Just as lycra is acceptable if you're on a push bike.
Crocs will never be acceptable. |

Trousers with a waist size about 20 inches smaller than someone's waist size, albeit the surplus waist ballooning over the top of the trouser's waist.
A random selection of stripes/lines, patterns and motifs all cobbled together.
Very high waist band trousers.
'Comic' statements upon clothing that weren't funny whenever first stated.
Gilets
Sports socks mismatched to the rest of the clothing style
Trousers that are too short, resembling an adolescent boy's who is undergoing a rapid growth spurt
Poorly fitting clothes, that seemingly appear like fabric coverings, leaving the likely wearer's body shape a mystery. Also, mixing over-tight clothes with excessively baggy clothes.
Formal shoes that mismatch with the rest of a guy's clothing style.
Showing off underwear parts that should remain covered.
Very, very baggy jeans/trousers |

Navy suit, tan shoes (not brown), tan belt. Those are the rules.
The only time I can think where you might wear black shoes with one is if you were also wearing a black tie. Pinstripe suits are different, but I wouldn't wear a pinstripe suit anyway. |

No brown shoes is fair enough, but if you had any sense of sartorial elegance, then you wouldn't wear a navy suit under those circumstances, it would have to be charcoal (black is tacky). |

I swear they must be too tight and restrict the blood flow to the brain"
Lmao! I went on a night out in Walsall in the summer during the very brief heatwave we had.
In one very busy bar one guy with a shaved head had obviously been wearing a baseball cap in the sun, as you could see the half moon shape sunburnt on the back of his head where the cap adjustment is situated. |

Also black trousers, with white socks and black shoes should only be allowed if you are a Michael Jackson tribute act. |

I've got a suite that only goes with brown shoes. It's sort of light khaki more on the brown side. Black shoes just wouldn't match properly. And anyway, I don't wear shoes, I wear Chelsea boots. |

Clothing that has over-bobbled, twisted and degraded, whether from unusual washing practices or the positioning of incompatible materials - often synthetic - in the vicinity of others. One day this will initiate explosion of the world's nuclear arsenal.
And why are those football tops etc synthetic? Even with advancements in deodorants to 48 hours, the wearer's still going to stink very quickly. |
