I have actually been asked to start this thread as people know I like my food. A lot...
So without any mockney accents or dodgy fat tongue speech impediments I invite you all to put up your favourite quick and healthy recipes. All hints and tips welcome too.. |

Not mine but one our children learned at school.
Onion, garlic, stock cube, tomato puree, tinned or fresh tomatoes, black olives, pasta.
Brown onions and garlic, add the remaining ingredients simmer while pasta cooks.....serve. |

open cupboard, take tinned soup out. Open said tin and pour contents into a bowl. Put bowl in microwave and heat for recommended time. Take out and eat.

Chicken stuffed with garlic butter and chesse wrapped in bacon. Then wrapped in foil turn half way through cooking so the garlic juice doesn't make 1 side of chicken softer than the other serve with creamy colslow and home made oven chips x |

Recently invested in a table top fryer from tescos (half price at £20 each) so I have actually been having quite alot of home made chips in various forms with steak.
Now ever the one for a bargin I have been getting skirt steak from the butchery counter it has a good level of fat in it and if you cut it into strips say inch to inch and a half thick it cooks really well in a hot pan nice and quickly.
Who said I couldn't put 15 years of hospitality to good use ha ha. |

As a chef, but not naked, pork loin steaks ,a spoon of apple sauce on top, then hoisin sauce ,grill and then cheese until it melts, with a potato salad with tarragon, and chives, if you have any maple syrup cover the chives before mixing into the sald,a little more than 10 mins about 20 |

Nice and easy salad dressing/marinade. Better if left overnight.
2 tbsp dark soy sauce
1 tbsp mirin
1 tsp chilli flakes
You can also add a little honey to make a sticky glaze and/or some lime juice for a little more tangy |

I searched high and low to find a cast iron grillpan with really sharp raised lines to really sear chargrill chicken.......any kind of marinade tends to burn on that so I just grill the raw meat, then turn it after in a little sweet chilli sauce with teriyaki or soy and have with mixed leaves, hmmm! |
