'Girl' is a term of endearment in Liverpool as in;
"All right girl. Come in and have a cuppa"
'Queen' is used in the same way.
A new one creeping in amongst younger folks is 'chic' or 'chick' but this appears to only be used between women or gay man to woman.
Language/dialects/colloquialisms are a wonderful thing doncha think??? |
