From personal experience, we've been together since 16, had a brief fall out at around 20 and now we're engaged and have a mortgage together also have the responsibility of a sausage dog
Things can work out |

"Would need more info on what went wrong and how deep the cut is."
Exactly, if you fell out over something silly then get talking again. If one of you was being made miserable by bad behaviour from the other then stay away. |

Well I work a lot and she claimed I didn't show her enought attention but I did and I did try to do more with her when I wasn't working. Then it just got worse and she got d*unk and I seen text messages from her so called friend asking if they were still meeting up as she enjoyed the weekend they had.i was gone before she even woke up that day. |

"She's only asked to be friends right?
If you split amicably why can't you still be friends?
it never works out like that though I don't think"
I expect the reasons for breaking up have a lot to do with it |

Whats wrong with meeting up to talk? You aren't committing to anything else at that stage, so what harm can it do?
The fact you have asked the question shows that part of you wants to - we regret the things we don't do, more than the things we do - think of it like that.

Don't get too ahead of yourselves. looks like you're looking to work something out?
Chat abut what went wrong first, this will give you a good idea if anything can be done about the problems you had that split you up, or if you even want to get to that stage at all.
You can be friends with some exes, it's always nicer to remain friends, but there are some people you'll never be able to stay just friends with. If this is a problem then you have to let them go.

How long ago was that?
If it was very recent do you need a bit of time and space first?
Will it be too upsetting for you to see her yet...as friends?
Good luck x |

I wish I was still on talking terms with my last ex. He was my best friend since 11 years old and was a big part of my life. I believe it'd just make me angry to stay in touch with him though, so it was best to cut contact. |

I'm friends with several ex's. No place for bitterness in my life. We can't help falling out of love anymore than falling in love...
Go with your intuition on this, you'll know what's best for you.. Good luck with it all x |

That really settles it do you want a friend who you can't trust? |
