In the good old days your street would be called upon by a range of visitors. Fish and chips mobile van, fruit and vegetables sellers, knife sharpeners and more, in addition to the remaining windows cleaners etc. We still have our fish and chips van come. They use a loud bell. And scrap collectors come with a nasty whistling noise.
What should the peddlers of missing services provide? Could single blokes come whilst many male partners are at work, with a distinctive trumpet call?
