How are other ladies on here managing the irregular bleeding??

Its starting to drive me nuts now..

Been suggested that I can take the pill along side it to compensate.. anyone done this and did you have any side effects..??

I've had two. First one was brilliant, for about 18 months, I had no period at all. Then I think I sucked all the hormones out of it, started to bleed and turned into Cruella Deville! :O) Second one didn't work at all.

Although I've never used them for contraception, only to regulate my periods. I can't comment on how well they work for that.

implant for me was fantastic.....once you get it in thats it you can forget about it....bleeding stopped....no side effects....fantastic

Implant was great... til I put on 4 stone! Now rely on lesser things to stop babies

Well been told that this implant the biggest problem is irregular bleeding.. that there will be no mood swings, and no weight gain..

As I was on the pill exactly the same before I can not understand why I am now getting a day bleeding, two days off, then bleeding again.

I am using it as contraception as before this my periods were like clockwork.. 29 day cycle and lasted 3-5 days for my period.

I have no other problems.. no headaches, no flushes, no mood swings, no appetite increase etc... Just annoying period changes..

The doctor told me that its common with the nexplan implant and that the best thing is to give the pill to regulate the bleeding.. hence me asking on here..

That doesnt quite help.. I am just telling you what has been suggested as I can not be doing with not knowing when my period is going to arrive. I am used to being able to plan things to the very day around my period.

I think on an adult site which is sex related with apparently liberal, open minded people then questions can be asked that people wouldn't normally be able to ask with not so like minded people. I think questions regarding contraception are hugely relevant on a swinging site and if the girls want to talk periods then they are perfectly entitled to do so.

If there is really a demand for this kind of thing. And if the Family Planning Association, Marie Stopes, PCT's, NHS Direct, the RCN, thousands of GP's and t'interweb can't help can't we have a 'Medical Forum'. That way unqualified folks, who just so happen to like sex, can dispense a mixture of personal experience and 'old wives tales' on a whole range of ailments.

I've been bleeding since May! It's not great. Especially when I work in an office full of women and they can't seem to empty the sanitary bins regularly enough. There's nothing worse than having to poke someone else's waste in so your own will fit!

Still... am sure you don't want to read about that today!!

Well then move along from the topic and stop posting..and as for my Masters permission I do not need it to express my views..

I have looked on the nhs site and it just says that women on this implant will either have no differences in their monthlies, or it will stop after an initial settling down time, or it can be how mine is being..

To those moaning about this thread.. there has been worse, and the thread title does say what it is about.. Maybe a nice mod will change it to Anyone else suffering irregular monthlies after having implant fitted..???

As you can imagine its getting rather hard to sort play times out when I can not know when I am going to be bleeding or not..

I have had a perfectly acceptable day but when i come on a swingers site looking to meet someone i do not wish to read about everyone's bleeding foo foo. Sorry but there is a time and a place! To me its as bad as showing MRSA documentary to hospital patients with open wounds.

Ask your doc for a prescription for norethisterone... its a pain in the ass having to take it three times a day but it can be taken in conjunction so that you have a bit more control.

My issue with asking is that I wanted to know if anyone had any issues, like mood swings etc after having treatment to sort this.. I can not take the pill alone as I have to take migraine tablets that make it no good.. but the implant isnt affected by this.

Cant have a coil as they just get dislodged.. lol Injection makes me get even worse headaches and I put on way to much weight when I had it. not to mention mood swings that would have me commited.. lol

Using condoms all the time is a) not that reliable and b) not going to happen either..

So thats why I was asking on here. :D

not really sure I mentioned how much, where, what.. and arent their adverts on tv all day about womens sanitary products..

I had an implanon implant a few years ago and had irregular bleeding. The doctor gave me the pill to try and stop it but I ended up with really really tender boobs, so much so I had to wear a bra even in bed and my mood swings were so bad my ex referred to it as "that time when you were psycho". This is just my experience though, you might be better looking on a health related forum for more advice.

Thank you.. I have been told this implant is meant to NOT cause as many psycho moments. lol but then they told me it would be uncomfy for a day, not agony for 5 days.. :D

the amount of guys who i've had to cancel on due to this and have responded with "well, i don't mind"...how do you treat women that cancel on you because of this? or do you just block them and go shower in dettol?!

Check out my previous post.......you will see me mention abuse.....although crabby is more a description of someone in a bad mood, but any abuse posts were removed and why I made my post.......if thats ok with you of course?

Going back to the subject best to follow GP advice he knows best and if it still dont work for you then have it removed and go without birth control till your body gets into its own rythem then go back on the pill if it suited you.

If for any reason you think I was not being impartial by telling people to have more respect for other users/ for being offensive on threads or for laying off with the abuse or they will be banned......then if you click on the CONTACT button at the bottom of the page and leave your feedback with Admin.

They can then read the thread.

That's fine to say and no doubt people will use that button when they feel the need. However it was a little more than telling others to have respect you put up.

All i am saying is just because one person may be a sarcastic and another names and insults impartiality goes a long way. Personally I do not think it has been implemented in this thread. Now you may not like me standing up and saying so but just because your in a position of power i am not going to say to admin what I wouldn't in public.

May i suggest you do what your always telling others and if you have more to say on this issue do it by pm and keep it off the boards.

in fact the irony of the thread is that I was more offended by the bloke calling a woman's bits "foo foo" when it is a mature adult discussion taking place.....

You seem to really just be out for a row as you have changed what you were saying on your first post to now... but I am not willing to row with you over anything at all.

If you have any feedback for Admin about this or any thread then send it privately to Admin as I have asked as that is how Admin like it.

Crabby isn't offensive but it does link it to an individual as you did use his name. I was referring more to the twat comment but hey maybe that isn't offensive to everyone. I was using those instances as examples of impartiality as I perceived it.

Not at all as it happens I was just commenting on a matter of impartiality as I saw it. Surely I am allowed to comment as I see things as long as I am not offensive?
