I need a giggle and to feel less of a muppet. So what have you lot tried to cook/bake and it's not gone to plan?!

Iv just tried to bake brownies, followed my sisters method 8and recipe, hers are lush.

Mine however is more cake like than brownie and I'm not impressed!!

When I first moved in with my ex, I had just turned 20 and I couldn't even cook bacon, I sat on the floor with a burnt pan, cremated bacon and loads of smoke!!!

I've got food allergies, and literally everything I make could be used as a weapon. Essentially I can make various flavours of brick

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

When I was an unemployed ex-student I saw a recipe for cooked rice mixed with soup mix. It was awful

Chuck some dollops of fudge icing on it and call it cake.

I made an omlette once. It looked as though someone had vomited in my pan. I took a photo and showed some friends and they still cast it up years later.

NW London

Managed to slice the tip of my finger off with a big knife whilst chopping onions and trying to watch TV simultaneously in my first flat.

Still got the scar but I'm a great cook now!

While visiting a friend at her uni we decided to get a pizza before going out. She removed the outer packaging (the box it was in) and put the pizza still in its plastic in the oven. The smell was not good and she nearly set the fire alarms off

Did Home Economics to A level. Everything from collapsing soufflés to exploding sponges. Lamb chops tend to defeat me these days - undercooked but still manage to set off the smoke alarm!

the grill pan is not my Favourite place to cook, where spitting Fat is concerned things tend to quickly get volatile, much prefer to cook inside The oven and useing foil when possible.

A friend came to stay a few days earlier in the week. I burnt his toast. And set off the smoke alarm, twice.

Don't think I'm going to live it down for a while.
