Morning all.. drinking gold blend crap this morning!

Must of tried a dozen different coffees this year and not a fan of any!

Any coffee lovers give me a nudge towards a decent wake up drink.

Stove top and ground coffee if you have time. Aeropress or a caffitier if your slightly less energetic

Aeropress has a very smooth less bitter taste than ground normally xx

I drink gallons of tea in the morning, but when I do have coffee in the afternoon or evening it has to be Douwe Egberts

I like Cafe Crema, black with a dash of cold water...not a fan of "proper coffee".

I'm a green tea drinker through the day but need a coffee kick start first thing.. always poured the hot water onto instant then added milk.

Keep meaning to invest in a machine! Days like this I need one

If you're going for an instant, this had to be one of the best

Ah, that's where you're going wrong. Milk first or you scorch the granules

A cafetiere is less than a tenner and pretty much every ground coffee in the supermarkets are decent.

If you want to stick with instant, the new ranges of " whole bean" instants are great. There are new ones by illy, percol, carte noire, millicano... And more. Enjoy!

Don't drink instant is my advice or if you really have to drink one of those blends of instant and ground like millicano.

Buy a cheap grinder aldi have them at the moment, a cafetiere and a bag of beans also have beans too a large bag for four quid and you will never look back .

If you have to have instant then Nescafé Alta Rica is ok.

*source* I used to work in Costa so have tried almost every bean and method of making coffee.

I have it on good authority that garlic bread is the future. It's been on TV so it must be true!

Not had instant in years. The right ground is much better. The longer it's brewed, the greater the release of the bitter compounds - unless you like that aspect of it. The earlier released flavour elements are sweeter and have fruit tones.

MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire)

Percol black & beyond espresso is pretty damn good for the mornings in a rush.

Other than that, made in a cafetiere! Yum.
