when you read in a verification that a person or couple are 'down to earth'?

To me, it translates as 'plain talking'

What do others think?

I would take it to mean they were generally easy to get on with, easy to talk to etc.

I see it as grounded, not full of themselves, friendly, open, no ego .. Just normal regular people! If I call people down to earth it's meant as a compliment
