I used to when I was out of work, the company sadly didn't provide enough work to make it worth while staying with.
The company I am in now uses agency staff, but they workers don't last that long as they don't like grafting. |

I employ agency staff and there are 3 golden rules, turn up every day, turn up on time and do a reasonable days work! Do that and after twelve weeks you can have a job! Sadly many cannot do three simple thins. |

The agency I'm working with just now keeps me in fairly steady work in between company jobs.
It's these leaching bastard umbrella companies that deal with paying the wages and expenses that do my nut in.....trying to get me to become my own Ltd. company so they don't have to deal with paying my tax n NI
No thank you......if the government's going to get what they're due they need to take it off my wage before I get it......if I was left to my own devices to pay them myself, they'd get sweet fuck all! |

Aye most of the labourers I've had sent to me through the agency were useless lazy fuckers.....went through 3 in one week last year!
Had to send one back as he was a serious danger to himself and all those around him.....nearly killed himself twice! |

I subcontract work thru agencies but I tend to get quite good runs of work as I have a profession which is in demand. Other times I can get work directly thru companies as I have built up a few contacts. Being freelance works out better for me right now as the rate is better than the salaried amount offered by most places.
If you are working thru an agency don't be afraid to ask for pay rises as the best rate is never offered up front, always claim your expenses for travel and sustenance and if you can it is def worth using an Ltd Company to save on tax. |
