There's clubs?

Me and my mates just used to tie loads of garden canes together and beat the shit out of each other!

High level stuff is boring...you can't see anything as its just microscopic twitches of the shinai (bamboo swords)..

Classes are usually really traditional.. lots of walking backwards and forwards in straight lines..could be a while before you 'spar'

The footwork is odd. Try walking slightly on the balls of your feet (heels just off floor) while imagining you are being lifted by the crown of your head..

I assume as a martial art it's kind of flawed unless you walk around town carrying your shinai. Just thinking about what my winter sport will be. Last winter was wing chun. There is jujitsu near me. Could be a possibility. There's also a ninja school. But I'm bloody scared of even phoning them up lol!

As both a weapons and a 'do' form, rather than a 'jutsu' its modern application is very limited.

Traditional or brazilian jujitsu?

I would avoid ninjitsu..gave that a go a while ago. Its just sloppy jujitsu full of pricks thinking they are ninjas. Some of them even dressed up in the full black pyjama suit and jumped out on people out walking on weekends..think I battered most of the club..

And thought for the day...what if every country has ninjas but we only know about the Japanese ones because they are crap

Exactly...but technically there are no ninjas. They were wiped out by the japanese shogun centuries ago. All they have is some drawings. Still more authentic than modern druids though...
