At what point do you give your number out?

I know giving your number out to meet is crucial
But there are guy who are like " I have no pictures on here, what's your whatsapp and I will send you pic on there and don't have kik"
Or, after saying hello in a message, without any other details, they want to phone you up.
Personally I don't like giving my number out to anyone because I don't want lots of people I won't meet having my number.
Is this just me or is it normal? |

I will only add people as friends and give my number out once a meet has been arranged. I'm not falling for the old 'I'll Whatsapp/text/email pics'. They can have a face pic set as private, message it, and click the 'delete pic after message is read' option if they're that worried. |

I only give my number to someone after we've met in person.
I have kik and Skype to show who we are off the site. I just disregard people who want my number so early.

I only give my number to those I've got to know a bit on here and think i might want to meet....i make it clear i don't use Kik or whatsapp to swap pics too so if they don't have any on here they don't get any further. |

There's no need to give a number out, especially to someone you don't know. Take for instance yesterday, some man said he gave his to someone and it got put on sites. People suggest getting a phone just to use for people on here, but that's not ssomething I can be bothered with.
I prefer to give my number to people I've met, unless I've been speaking to them for a while and others have vouched for them. If you arrange a meet and check on here to ensure its still going ahead then that's all that needs to be done, after all most can access Fab on their phone. |

This  , and the number is only given the day before the meet.
And it's not my real number, it's just a cheap play-phone we use which is normally turned off at all other times.

If they managed to download whatsapp, then they should be able to work out how to download kik. If they can't they're morons, so probably best in the end |

Omg and i was thinking I was paranoid, I am going to be more careful giving my number out.
What worries me if someone profile isn't verified and it's someone who know's you trying to get more details to confirm it's really you.  |

I very rarely give my number out to anyone, on Fab or in every day life. Only if I've known the person a while and more importantly if I know I can trust them then they can have my number. Whether I've actually met them or not is not important. |

I don't use kik. I have given my number out though early on.
I don't see the problem with it.
They could speak to me via a payphone or withheld number. They wouldn't have to give me their number.
I suppose its a way of at least communicating with someone on a more personal level. They don't have to use it. |

I give mine to people for a variety of reasons, not just for arranging meets. I've talked several people through fixing their cars on here before now...  |

I'm with Wyrd on this one, but I go even further! I don't exchange numbers or any other contact info until after a first coffee meet, sometimes even not till after a first play meet.
Everyone has a smartphone these days, they can use it to take a selfie and put it on the site. They can use it to check the site for messages.
I choose an easy to find public place to meet with good road and public transport links and plenty of free parking. I look like my recent face pics and can get a good internet signal to check any messages in case they're running late. There's no need for any other method of contact.
Oh, and I have plenty of veris to show that I am who I say I am, anyone who thinks I'm a 20 stone bloke called Bernard who still lives at home with his mum is a fantasist who is probably really looking for a Bernard.  |

I never have and I never will, I've never found it to be a crucial part of the meet process. I have been labelled fake, and a time waster for it, I generally point out they wasted their own time in contacting me if that is one of their requirements, since it clearly states in my profile I message on here only |

I give verified males my number for pics and video swapping. If he starts to get on my nerves I just block him. Only had one issue with my number being given out so its all good  |

As I keep a separate number for sexual activity it does not bother me to whom I give it.
On the rare occasions that I receive a nuisance call I just leave the phone on and the caller can talk to them self. |

No its not we never have every meet has been arranged through here. Sure weve had some not show up but as we meet at our home it doesnt matter weve not wasted any fuel  in actual fact nobody has ever even asked for our phone number! |

I'm fairly similar op - if they can't get/be bothered to get their photos here on Fab, I can't be bothered trawling the net or giving my number to potentially unsuitable people either.
I swap numbers, not give them out one-way, when I've already done sufficient checks for someone potentially being appropriate to meet. We may swap more pics afterwards but I work at my pace.
If someone pressures me, that's always a bad sign and often the point that I call things off. I'm not possibly the easiest to meet but certainly not the easiest to be hassled into going where I don't want to be.
You can use temporary disposable phone numbers, or just a meets-only phone no, but I just stick with only giving my number out when I am ready. And that's after they've shown their photos on Fab. Toooo many just want to use kik or whatsapp to see your photos, whilst they wank, and probably won't meet at your convenience if they even have any intentions of meeting at all.
Stick to your own rules and ways of doing things, as well as trusting your gut instinct. |

When asked I've steam powered PAY phone for this.
That's because so many people are fake not that I am.
I'd advise all swingers to just use a PAY phone for initial contacts. |
