Guys! Advert your eyes!
I'm miserable. Two weeks ago I had a tiny fibroid removed, my cervix cauterised and a new Mirena fitted. At the 8 day mark I started to bleed and it's getting heavier with clots. Normal or not?
To make matters worse I'm not allowed to use tampons and am allergic to proprietary sanitary pads.
Still, I'm quite looking forward to sewing my own over the weekend!! Anybody else use reusable STs? |

My friend uses re-useable STs & swears by them (as do others with their Mooncups). I think you just need to make sure you have plenty?
I have endometriosis & I'm a very heavy bleeder (men you were warned) I can lose clots at any time of the month. I wear a super plus tampon & night time ST at all times. At night I also sleep on pampers dry night pads with a towel underneath - it's horrific!!!
I hope it doesn't last much longer for you xxx |

Unfortunately both proceedures you've had can make you bleed the way you have described.
However, I would keep an eye on it and give your GP/ OBGYN a call if it hasn't settled in a week or so.
Hope you get it all sorted out. |

Thanks! I'll bear that in mind. I'm a dog walker, the more I walk the more I bleed. Arghhhhh. |

Some aromatherapy oils and peppermint tea can help reduce bleeding. But as someone else said unfortunately it sometimes happens with what you've had done.
Another endo sufferer here.
My sympathies. |

As someone else said it can happen after those procedures. Depending on where you were discharged to I would give the hospital / GP a call. I used to take Tranexamic (sp?) Acid when I had problems or a hormone tablet that I can't remember the name of but began with an N. Don't just put up with it if it continues. Hope you get sorted soon. |

"Ouch! I'll be buying a moon cup this month. I've just has essure done but t unfortunately it won't affect my girly time.."
Mooncup users seem to really like them, although I've never tried. I didn't have a period for 12+ years with my various mirenas but the fibroid mucked that all up! Paying the price now though!

Give yourself time to heal before starting to use the moon cup. It only gets sterilised at the end of your period and you have recently had someone mucking about in there. Deffo ask the person who carried out the procedure first about when you can start safely using it. I have a moon cup and they are great but im still getting used to mine. My sympathies go out to the OP and the ladies suffering from endometriosis xxxx |
