To her I would say do what you're comfortable with and don't be pressured.
To you I would say allow her to do what she's comfortable with and don't apply any pressure.
If you're hoping for advice on how to encourage her into doing something she's hesitant about you won't get it from me. |

Ok, so what kind of advice do you want exactly and why isn't she asking herself? I appreciate that you aren't trying to force her but if she was really keen and was only being held back by nerves for instance I would expect her to be asking for herself. |

maybe had your OP been a bit more precise about that which you are now saying (also your profile also gives no inkling of this?) then the responses may have been more to your liking..
respect that you may be doing this together but there have been many threads where blokes think it ok to push their wives/partners into situations they are not ready for or often even aware of.. |

1: when replying to a comment, if you hit "reply and quote" it shows the comment you are replying to.
This helps reduce confusion and stops people looking a little odd by just blurting out a random statement about kittens.
2: you say you are not trying to force, just encourage?
For whose benefit? Sounds like it's for you.
If your wife wanted to do it even just a little bit, she could come on here and even just have a chat to a couple of fellas. |

To be fair, OP, two out of the first three replies were sensible and reasonable, but you have chosen only to respond to the others.
The lounge is generally fun and tongue-in-cheek at times, and my advice would be simply to ignore those responses that you don't like, and concentrate on the ones you do. You'll find the whole experience far more fruitful.

To be fair, if you'd worded your post in a clearer manner, people wouldn't assume you're trying to persuade your partner into something. People can only work with what you give them and getting the hump when you don't get the response you're hoping for isn't really helping. If you're clear about what you want advice on, you generally find that you'll get a more rounded answer.  |

You really want her to meet strangers alone? How would you feel if something bad happened to her?
