I saw the program on bbc4 and it was an interesting watch, did you see it too? Its about an equation that is used to estimate the number of extra-terrestrial civilisations there are.
What is your view on this and can such equation really equate such things? Although they did say they used it as tool. |

I didn't see it but I love algorithms and forecasting etc. Like has been said, without any other known planet that contains life, it's going to be a tough one.
My own formula is as accurate as any other
