Just had a message ( from a cock poking through a denim fly ) from a nineteen year old....... nothing new but I realised.
I can't remember being nineteen ? They were S and M jelly babies.
Can anyone remember being 19 ? |

I still feel 19. My brain doesn't and actually my body doesn't but there's a bit of me that doesn't actually feel my age at all! I remember being 19 and thinking that 37 was positively ancient! Shame on me!! |

Ouch..... _muma, that stings!!!....Blimey, the carrot incident was just a momentary laps mental restraint.... But making a conscious decision to purchase a man purse….
Well quite frankly that’s beyond
reasonable explanation…… Tut tut Viccyboi,,,,

"when I was wee (all 12 years ago), I thought the year 2000 and turning 30 was a million years off and I would be ancient. Now I am 40, I wish I was right!!!"
I remember turning 13 and my friends and I working out we'd be 40 in 2000! We were horrified at the thought of being so old and hoped we'd be dead!
I'll skip over taking to my bed on my 40th and crying all day!
My youngest is 19. I look at her tucked up in bed in her Winnie the Po pjs cuddling Shaun the Sheep (she left it at her dad's one weekend and he had to post it special delivery to Derby as she can't sleep without it), laughing at Michael McIntyre on YouTube from her laptop, looking like a 12 year old. I think about myself at her age, feeling all grown up and blissfully happy: preparing my wedding and buying our first home.
Seems a lifetime ago! |

For me that would have been 1976/77. I was in 3rd year of my apprenticeship at our local steelworks. It got closed and demolished in early 80's and is now the home of Merry Hill Shopping Centre.
I was going out with a girl who was the sister of the girl I really fancied. I thought if I went out with her sister I might get closer to her too. Didn't work though, lol.
It was another 5yrs and a number of other "friendships" before I met Kate |

I was elbow deep in nappies (proper ones that you boiled white and hung on a washing line ...)
Yep - I entered motherhood at an heart wrenchingly young age! |

I was working night shifts at a psychiatric hospital… and I worked over Christmas
I had black hair. I could drive. I had a dog... and I often took him to work with me and they didn't mind. But then again in those days you could smoke at work.
Most of my friends were earning around £3 per hour... I think I was getting paid something daft like £12+ per hour for working nights over Christmas... the NHS was a great place to work in those days.
Oh and proper Burberry and Aquascutum were in fashion. |

I was pregnant at 19!
I recently had a 'wink' off a guy who claims to be 19 on this site but is actually only 17....why I know this? Because he was in school with my daughter. YIKES! |

"I remember lots from my teens, 19 was a blast as i was solvent and having fun out on the town."
oh yes, me too. Went off to Sweden and travelled back via Europe. Great times. Still have my passport from then, love that old-style passport much more impressive than the Euro ones. |
