Always had persian cats, and also german shepherd's.
Both get on well with each other, now I have a ginger (strawberry blonde) cat that thinks the dog is his mother. |

I have a chocolate seal point Siamese he's 16 and I've had him since he was a baby, I love him to death, he's getting old now and has a few health problems due to age, I'm making the most of the time we have left with him
Have to admit though they are very vocal I swear he used to sing |

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack! |
Cats here all the way. Can only remember this house being cat free for a matter of weeks! I`m fine with dogs but with a street where there`s 8 dogs in 4 of the 8 houses in the street (with one house currently unoccupied due to being refurbished) a cat makes a nice change anyway! My current cat is a very talkative torty rescue cat. She is usually by the front gate when I come from w*rk and spends every night on my bed. She definitely recognises certain phrases we use and one good thing with her is that you could put your full dinner plate in front of her and she will NOT touch it! |

"Dogs are my favourite people. Even if mine stinks a bit at the moment and takes up two thirds of my bed... "
Ours sleeps with us, sits on the sofa with us, eats with us and plays with us.
Totally against all dog training rules but he's a gem.
He sulks if things gets a little frisky, goes to his bed and flicks us a look of utter disgust |

Both. Love cats, and have 4, and got a dog about 18 months ago. Completely different.
I now regret not getting a dog years ago. Best thing I have done in a very long time. |
