Looking Younger Then You Are

Before i joinned the world of fab i used to think that being told i look younger then i am was a good thing. But being here as made me think it goes against me. Would that put any girls off guys or vice versa? |

Being thought of as younger is the bomb!
I'm young at heart, so that levels it out. Kinda strange being handed flyers for raves by much younger people when out and about though - especially when my son's with me, he hates it  |

ive always bin told told that i look younger then my age i hated it when i was younger could never get in2 pubs but now i lv it and my eldest son whos 35 gets asked for id all the time hahahaha he hates it |

I'm 33 and told a lot i look more 23.
I call it the deadzone of dating. Anyone older thinks i look way too young, girls the same age think i look too young and dont want people to think bad of them. Slightly younger are fine with it til they realize my age and i still live with my parents, they expect any guy my age to have a home, car, successful job, then younger 18+ are fine with looks, living at home but hate the age gap. |

A 38 yr old looking like a 28 yr old is one thing,a 28 yr old looking like an 18yr old is a totally different ball game. I've been told I look younger,I don't feel younger  |

Get told often they can not believe i am 60 kept my looks and body in good shape with out trying very hard i go swimming every week thats all never been to a gym eat well and have a drink most days.
But it has its down side as well i know i get nasty comments from other women my age always dress smartly never tarty when people look at my photos on here been asked a few times is that me or someone else photos |

I'm 32 and get told I look 23/25.... It used to annoy me, but to be honest it suddenly occurrd to me to think of it as a compliment
And as someone else here busy said .. What is my age supposed to look like.
I dnt act my age..i feel younger and forget sometimes I'm meant to be a certain way ha ha

I'm 30 and I look 30 (except when I got ID'd buying superglue last year   )
I'm totally happy with that, I'm not the babyfaced type and I don't really want to spend my life wishing my face looked different. I may change my tune when I'm 50. |

i used to get that a lot, but not so much now. (thankfully)
I don't mind people looking younger, but probably not fancy someone if they were 35-40 and looked 60 odd |

When I told a lady who used to be on here, we are still in touch, that I'd just had my 50th, she acted very surprised!

I challenge anyone to top this.
I was 21 at the time, went to asda to buy a DVD rated a 15.
Got asked for ID despite the fact I've got a full sleeve tattoo and had my car keys in my right hand, handed the guy my drivers licence which he still proceeded to take several moments to work out my age despite having to be 17 to have a license |

It's a pity in many ways that we have magnified the benefits of youth today. It used to be kids that emulated adults, wanting to appear older, now it's more often than not older adults who start emulating old teens somewhat.
Polyfilla is your friend. Followed by a few coats of high quality paint. But I am no DIYer, so please try on an inconspicuous area first.
My visible age varies a fair bit. I wake up and think it's halloween most mornings when I look in the mirror. If I'm rested (but not after a night's sleep) I can look 100X better and a few years younger.
I think if we just accept ourselves as we are and get on with life it's far healthier. I'm going to etch my bathroom mirror soon, so that it shows a foggy look, which I could accept. |

Funnily enough only yesterday I said I need guys that are over 35 that look under 30.. As I like younger looking guys mostly but don't feel comfortable meeting anyone too young!! |

People say I look late 20s which is all good. If I put a beanie hat on or something iblook younger due to my slightly receding hairline being covered and a few greys  |

I received a nice compliment from a chap I was chatting to in a club last week. He said I looked good for my age. I think I look younger than I am because I have never smoked and have fewer wrinkles. |

I used to get told i looked younger than i was...it was a common thing for me to get asked for ID when buying cigarettes in my 20s. Then i had kids and funnily enough i now look like a 42 year old mum. Who would have thought? |

I like being told I only look mid 40's (who wouldn't at 54?), especially as when I was mid 40's I looked a lot older . I'm guessing it's got something to do with me now being single (less stress). |

Funny - I've never heard anyone on Internet say they look older than they are.
Almost seems compulsory for people to say they look younger than they are. Hi, I'm 30/40/50 but everyone says I look younger.

I'm regularly told I look nowhere near my age, so really pleased when that happens. How old I feel depends on what i'be been up to - if i've been in the gym it's all good, but if it's the paper Round in Beirut not so hot!

I have a theory......i think people's perceptions of what people of certain ages should look like are way out of balance with what people actually look like. That is why so many claim to be told they look younger than they actually are.  |
