Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Born in the wrong body...

Did anyone watch this?

I'm just tuning in on Ch4+1, having seen a trailer.

I did. A F-to-M friend pointed out that some parts are somewhat crude & insensitive. The part that REALLY pissed me off was a man referring to trans men as "glorified dykes." *searches for angry emoji*

Thanks for the warning; I'll prepare my ire.

The issue of heterosexuality (or not) is going to keep cropping up as we move into being able to discuss trans people more.

It's a little more graphic than I expected. I don't usually watch things showing surgery.

I'm glad they are all happy. Alfie's parents are amazing. It felt a bit glossed over.

I didn't mind the surgery parts. My f-m friend is quite open about what he's had done and after he had his top surgery he posted a lot of photos, but he's not planning on having bottom surgery for now.

It looks like a big undertaking to go for bottom surgery. Good luck to him as he moves forward into that decision, whether he chooses to do it or not.

Oh, it is. Last time I talked to him about it he said he didn't want it as he's happy to have working genitalia, so to speak, and too much could go wrong with bottom surgery. However he's having his womb & ovaries out as the amount of male hormones in his body increases the risk of cancer in those places.

South West

I just watched it and thought it was incredible!

I'm so grateful that these young people are strong enough to educate us and teach us the real facts so we can support rather than fear.

I will continue to watch the series.

Well done channel 4! And thank you!
