Not sure, possibly depends on what age people have a preference for. Or people just don't notice that someone has grown older, or its how you perceive yourself |

When I was 20, people that were 40 seemed REALLY old, now I'm in my 40s, other people my age still seem young to me .. So it's all about perspective I think.
Others may classify me as old, I don't think so (although I might have reluctantly kicking and screaming concede I'm middle aged!) |

I sometimes see guys describing themselves as lads, which might work to twenties but doesn't beyond - not the same as a night with the lads, which is more flexible for use.
