I've just made a big pan of chicken & veg soup for my lunches this week
OH (who will not normally eat any soup except Heinz) : 'can I just have a little taste?'
Me : 'go on then'
Net result. We have ended up having it tonight.
I only have enough soup left for tomorrows lunch |

"I quite like cooking, it's more fun when for people but then there's no leftovers .
Also, when I'm in the kitchen I tend to not share the space so well, my excuse is that it's a small kitchen "
I am the same, I get quite irked if I'm trying to do something and I have to stop because someone is in my way. But that goes for everything, not just cooking, and why I should probably never have kids lol |

Batch cooking is the key! Cook a meal and freeze it into portions. I'd love to say I was organised enough to do it when I lived alone but left to my own devices I lived on supernoodles and pick & mix.
Luckily my nan would spend a couple of hours once a month making 4 or 5 different meals (bolognaise, curry, chilli, soup etc) and split each meal into 4 or 5 tupperqare containers. Then all I had to do was either defrost or bung it in the freezer!
You don't have to have it for every meal but it's nice to always have a home cooked meal without the effort or waste I'm the freezer.
Either that or you could come to my house, despite slaving over a hot stove my kids never seem to eat what I make anymore so there's always a spare plate |
