I have been in the UK for 18 years today.

Jump to: Newest in thread

I am celebrating today with my parents that we have been in the UK for 18 years. I have now been in the UK longer time than I have been living back home in Sweden. We will go out for dinner soon, will be fun.

What will you be doing today?

But you're moving to Spain so you can't be that happy about being in England?!

Today i'll be packing mostly. I'm doing it gradually rather than having to rush when we have our completion date come through.

Congratulations Shag, I hope you're enjoying England. You make me laugh so much on here because although your English is excellent, you still miss the subtleties. Your 'patience' advice is good and also that time you told all the new guys asking how long it takes to get a shag and you told them all 4 years.

Yes, the main one would be the pace of life, sweden is a very relaxed country compared to london which is very fast paced, anyone going there would notice the difference. Also Sweden is very neighbourly and if ur going on holiday they would happily trim your garden and water your plants, so you might be surprised when you come back to a nice garden you know.
