Fraud

I have been the victim of fraud this week. I regularly check my bank transactions and found that a debit card payment for £280 had been debited to my account which I had not made. Of course I immediately called the bank and spoke to their fraud team. Then the morning post arrived here at home and lo and behold there was a letter from the company the scum had tried to by something from online. It said in the letter that the debit card details didn't quite add up (3 digit security pin I guess) and they wanted to check that I, the cardholder had actually made an order with them.

Anyway to cut a long story short it's all being sorted now, just waiting for my new card to arrive. Just wanted to say please everyone check your bank statements very carefully, even if there is a debit for £1 you must let your bank know as mine said it's what the fraudsters do to see if you notice irregularities.

I had this last year... Barclaycard lol. Never use this card I only use it to log into online banking (Barclays) These people had contacted barclays.. changed my password and home address.. but after doing all that, quite clever so far, went into a branch of the TSB in Bristol and paid off there own credit card lol...

Dohhhhhhh...

So was soon sorted and the dummies caught lol.

I'd love to see someone go to the trouble of stealing my identity to obtain credit... they'll be in a for a huge disappointment... my credit rating is zero and they wouldn't be able to get a penny from anyone, sometimes it pays to be stuffed by your ex hehehe

Lol mine was my debit card for my current account - the bank said my card could have been cloned on a chip and pin machine or they could have hacked into my details when I've paid online for something. Pretty scary stuff eh?
