The land of grey peas and bacon

So after 5 years my best friend and lodger has moved out...so it's a new chapter living on my own after 5 years so my question is have you begun any new chapters in your life recently?

My dad died suddenly, leaving a big hole in my life. He knew me fairly perfectly, was reliable in all kinds of chores fixing etc. I've had to switch up a few gears.

Moving out of my family home, leaving my kids with their dad (better financially) and leaving my job after three years.

Don't panic though, I see them every day!

I recently started seeing someone who I think may be the man I end up with. It's the most exciting thing I've experienced in a good while, however it means changing a lot of things in my life. Fingers crossed.

Will be very strange to start with then you won't want anyone in your space once you are used to it lol

Good luck with your new chapter

On the verge of a new chapter... Hoping to turn to that page on 1st November but not a worry if a few days/weeks later

Yes, after spending the first 50 years of my life as a gigantic whale I'm getting used to living life as an average sized person and its cerainly life changing, I feel and act 20 years younger, I even got some random guy come up to me in rugby wanting to take me for a drink, people treat you differently and I have so many opportunities I didn't have before, can't stop buying clothes.

It's like someone has taken away the old karen and replaced her with someone else.

I do have little blips as its hard getting used to being a new person.

It 95% is positive and I'm sure the other 5% I will get there

Yes, big time!! I feel like I've only just started living my life recently. I've pretty much written off the first 35 years of my life. It all starts now and I honestly can't wait.

I'm a bit of a creature of habit and I don't like big changes. I'm wanting to change job or open my own tea room but I'm too scared to take the plunge.

Sorry to hear that Paul has moved out, I'm sure after a while you will love it xx

"You may find yourself in a shotgun shack,

You may find yourself in another part of the world,

You may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile,

You may find yourself in a beautiful house, with a beautiful wife

You may ask yourself, well...

HOW DID I GET HERE?

Eight years ago, I was diagnosed with a life long illness that stopped me dead in my tracks. Everything changed and now I am happier, healthier, fitter and eight stones lighter and I'm absolutely thankful for the diagnosis, it was the BEST thing that could have happened to me.

Too many new chapters to deal with at once this last year:

Diagnosis of Aspergers.

End of marriage and beginning of single parenthood.

Youngest starting school.

Rebooting of sex life in a major way!

Retraining for a new career and studying for and taking exams.

Falling in love with someone unsuitable

Add them all together and you get.........

A nervous breakdown

Hey ho. Onwards and upwards....

Chapters are cool, you never know how it's going to go in the next one!

I need to write a new chapter, but a fair few have been written, no end in sight which is quite good.

And you also get an independent woman who is a lot stronger than she gives herself credit for and can still laugh. Don't be hard on yourself. Xxx

Exam results in 2 weeks time, so all going well it will mean the end of 6 years college and revising.

I still have other bits I want to finalise in my studying but I'm hoping it will be a new chapter where I finally get around to sorting my house out from a hovel to somewhere I am proud of
