Sitting with my back to the puente in Arico watching the sun drop after ruining my hands for the day climbing.
Fresh bread, Manchego, nispero's off the tree nearby ready for the drive down the barranco to Santi's for Carne Mechada, gofio, and Tinto Joven from his fathers barrels. |

Well generally I am pretty contented...I have two awesome sons. But sometimes I sit and wonder...that I have lost my true love. And the only other woman that has turned my head...emotionally..not just superficially...is in a life bind....that she would not notice me if I slapped her face with a wet fish....so I'm not always so content....! |

For me, it will be baking a camambert tomorrow to have with crackers and a glass a wine. The true contentment will come from knowing I've finished in the garden til spring (hopefully!) before doing so.

Something was missing in it? Salt,pepper, more spices  it's not my month for cooking or baking, however I did make a delicious chicken curry at the beginning of the week
