So now I've nearly finished losing weight I went and had a proper measurement today in marks and Spencer's.
36e where the hell the e came from I don't know, I don't even have boobs anymore. Have bras for smaller so you need a bigger cup size? I guessed myself at a 36c |

I know how you feel, after losing 3 1/2 stone I thought my boobs would be 36b but oh no! 36dd, they used to be 38dd
How can I go from size 18/20 to size 12 and still have boobs? x |

I think they have shrunk AND women are getting fitted better.
Although, there's lots of variation between brands and some are truer to size than others which appear to be vanity sized. |

"Even when I have been slimmer I am still top heavy, at least I am buoyant but have bra sizes shrunk, your an expert?mrs" no, I dont think they have. A good brand such as Freya or fantasie are very true to size, department stores vary hugely |

Marks and spencer don't know how to measure properly. Go to a stores such as Victoria secret or bravissimo.
When I was 18 I went to m&s and they told me I was a bcup. I never laughed so hard. Bare in mind I had larger boobs before I had kids.

" but they measure accurately for their bras, so their bras must be sized completely wrong. |

one thing blokes should not do is buy lingerie for women, we tend to get all 'yeah 'she' will look great in that' even if i get the wrong size and its the last thing she would ever wear..
hence the constant stream of returns post christmas.. |

Ah i tried on what they told me and it wouldn't even fit half my boob. If they bra feels right then all well and good. There was a blog about it somewhere going round different places to be measured. I'll see if i can find it xx
The most important thing is if it's comfortable, the cup fits accurately and that the band has no movement.
These days I rarely follow a size and go on the feel some places I'm a E cup some I'm a C. X |

"My husband couldn't get his head around the fact my boobs had got smaller but the cup size was now bigger.
How the hell does that work?"
Cup size is a measurement of the difference between your ribcage and the fullest part of your boobs. So you can lose weight and your ribcage (the number measurement) gets smaller but if your boobs stayed as full you would then go up a cupsize for each additional inch of difference in the ratio. |

I have tiny hands. Yours are probably just about big enough. |
